Blue Sword cancelled-- what's next?

All right, Bookies-- I need to know your suggestions for our next read. Hit me. Patrick G. and I are going to do a mini-book club about The Blue Sword, and if you're enjoying it, you are welcome to stick with it. Just let me know! But if the book isn't what you were hoping for, weigh in with your choice and we'll see what we can do~ I've heard To Kill a Mockingbird and A Princess Bride... what else?
I'm off to Mexico tomorrow... see you guys in nine days!

Thise are good ideas! I think we should read either a mystery (like "The Westing Game") or an action/adventure, but I can't think of any ideas...

Dang...Google machine! I had a great comment and lost it.

I like the idea of another mystery. I feel we had some good discussions over "Westing Game" last year.

I looked up a couple of Edgar winners for mystery and here are a couple you could do some research on for the next meeting.

"The Killer's Cousin" by Nancy Werlin
"The Ghost Canoe" by Will Hobbs
***"Prophecy Rock"****by Rob MacGregor

Look around and find some more.

I would not object to the "Princess Bride" with the 7th/8th graders either. If it is deemed appropriate.
