What do you think about this one?

Okay, so I admit, I read this book around five years ago; therefore I am breaking my own rules. I was telling my husband last night that he should read The Curious Incident of the Dog at Night-time after we watched the new HBO movie, Temple Grandin (she's an autistic professor at CSU who revolutionized the way with think about animals and livestock-- look her up!), and it occurred to me: Hey! What about Book Club? It's got elements of a mystery to it, for sure, and it is such a different narrator... it would be a world-view changer for many of you, I am sure. Now, this book is YA, so I want you to do some research and make sure you and your parents are comfortable with you reading it. Then, let's have a vote! Who wants?

Just so we're on the same page, this one is Young Adult for strong language, but as far as I can remember, that's it. The adults in the story cuss quite a bit, I think. Anyway, take it under advisement with you folks and let me know!

That looks very intresting, I'll do some research later. :)

Oh, and even though we've just choosen our book, I think a suggestion for our next book might be The Children's Story, by James Clavell. (see name url for wiki link)I know it was published in the 80s, but I thought it sounded rather interesting...I just finished the short movie adaption.

Anyways, can't wait to see the book tomorrow!

By the way, is that Mia? Adorable!

Hey Joel, if I don't come find you today at some point, come find me-- I'd like to talk with you about this.

To all the rest-- sit tight. We probably will change books again!

Ok, we can so get through this. Bookies! Look up books! Now! Any book that seems interesting! Let's get going. We have to be able to find some book that everyone can read. (And we wouldn't DREAM of leaving out Joel.)
