Twilight Update!

Sorry so long, Rattlers!
It's pretty busy in the library right now, but I did want to share the latest and greatest that's going on with the Twilight movie. Production is in full swing, and it's very exciting! Click here to see an Entertainment Tonight behind-the-scenes clip of the filming-- you'll get to see them filming the part when Edward saves Bella from certain death the first time and the last time! Also, check this out to see MTV interviews with the cast and director discussing their experiences with filming this juggernaut of a series.

If anyone knows anything, comment and let us all know! I don't have much time to research these days, you know.

Hi kassi!
I agree-- I am afraid that the movie will pale in comparison to the book and be very disappointing. It should still be fun as long as we keep our expectations reasonable. :) Have you been to Stephenie Meyer's website? Have you read the first chapter of Midnight Sun that she has posted there? It's Twilight as narrated by Edward-- I love it!

hi again!

i'm really excited to see how the movie comes out. do you think it will be as bad as Eragon (the movie, i mean), or do you think it will be as good as, well, i havent really seen a movie thats better than the book, so... oh, i loved the first chapter of Midnight Sun, all of Edward's emotions can be kind of, um, well, vampirish.

cheers, ciao!

Hi Maria!
We've got LOTS of poetry books! Some of them are chapter books written in verse (What My Mother Doesn't Know, etc.) but most are collections of poems. Were you looking for something in particular? I posted a while ago about No More Dead Dogs; I had never read it before, but when I did, I thought it was excellent. Do you have anything to share?

Hey Analie and Maddie!
I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see you two talking books on here-- keep it up. :) Maddie, I will most definitely do an Olive's Ocean post for you to lead a discussion on; it'll have to be later this weekend, though, so I can find the cover art. I haven't read it myself, so I look forward to reading what you have to say.
Analie, I've got to be honest. I am genuinely excited that they are making a Twilight movie, but I don't hold out much hope that it's going to be that good. I have liked other stuff the director has made, however, so I have a glimmer of hope, but I do worry that the story might get butchered. We'll just have to see in December!

Keep up the conversing!

Hi analie!

The director's name is Catherine Hardwicke (please note that she is a she-- not a he!). She directed two movies that you should not see for a very long time-- sorry, true!-- but that I enjoyed as a mature adult. :) She's pretty new to directing, but she looks to have promise. This is a tough assignment, so we'll see!

mrs. Pulley,

interesting, well, now i have something to look forward to! about the book Life As We Knew It, i'm almost done with it. it's a great book, full of great thoughts. who would of thought that a (some what) simple action like a space rock crashing into the moon could cause so much death and beldam. i forgot about the tides and how the moon affects them. anyways, it's been a great read, deffiently on my Borders list! =)

tip top tally-oh!=)
