Are You Ready?

It's almost time for Stephenie Meyer's latest installment in the Twilight Saga! Our local Borders Bookstore has a few different activities going on to get you revved up and ready to go, including a midnight release party that Yours Truly is planning on attending. Who's with me?! Click here for more details on discussion groups and the party itself. Who's rereading the series to get ready, I wonder?

mrs. Pulley,

i still have to read Eclipes! i better go to the library soon! i'm not sure if i like the cover, personally. but then, i dont know what i would of put the cover as. but then, i kind of goes along withe the other cover pictures. at least the redishness and the "stand still" feeling. i'm not sure if i'll go to the midnight party. i might, if so, i'll look for you!

My mom and I are definitely going to be going to be at the midnight release - we've both pre-ordered copies of Breaking Dawn already. I'm going to wait until the week before it comes out to reread the rest of the series, though, so it's still fresh in my mind.

I wish I knew about your release party--I would've come! (Except that I couldn't have, anyway.)

Breaking Dawn was...wow. I think this quote sums it up perfectly:

"I think a lot of fans, die hards and those (like me) who just like to read a good book or series, woke up this morning thinking, 'What was she thinking when she wrote this?'"

Despite my disappointment, I'll won't spoil it for people (not that many are checking this during the last day of summer), but trust me, if you can wait, check it out of the library. I'm sure Mrs. P. can recommend some other books when you're waiting. :)

Hey everchanging!

Long-time, no-hear-from. :) Just so you know, I believe we're on the same page as far as B.D. goes. I've called it... interesting. A departure from the other books. Very Happily Ever After. Interesting. You get the picture, I bet. I'll have to read it again after I've let it digest a while and see what I think on a second read.

I'll say no more. I hope you got off to a great start this year, everchanging... stay in touch!

Hey, Mrs. P! I saw you at the release party. I really liked Breaking Dawn, even though I agree that she must have been on some sort of stimulant while writing it. Still, awesome, and I can't wait for Midnight Sun.

Hey kira!

Good to hear from you. I hope your year is off to a good start; mine is pretty crazy. As always!

I enjoyed reading it, but I did recognize that I didn't like it as much as the first and third in the series. And yes, I am very excited to see the finished Midnight Sun as I really enjoyed the first rough chapter!

I should go do some work now. Stay in touch!
