The results of the Teen Top Ten Voting have been announced, and New Moon has been selected as the top pick of the year! The title above is hyperlinked to the YALSA website where you can find the entire top ten in order. Check it out, see what you think and voice your opinions here if you want. I'll be interested to see what you have to say!

Ohhh good, New Moon is getting the recognition that it deserves! The only other book I've read on the top 10 list is "Life As We Knew It." I also loved this book; it has a terrific plot and really makes you think about how you would respond in a similar situation. Overall, however, New Moon takes the cake for me; I just can't get enough of Bella and Edward. Makes me wonder if I could ever fall in love with a vampire!

I think that New Moon is my favorite book in the Twilight series. It has the most drama in it. Some parts are funny too. I'm not surprised it made the top ten list.

Hey rattlereader24, and welcome to the blog!

Interesting New Moon is your favorite; while I liked it, I wouldn't say it was my favorite. I think I would have to chose between Twilight and Eclipse for mine. I love the lead-up in Eclipse for Breaking Dawn (#4)! New Moon does have a lot of drama, though, I'll give you that. I also really like how she has a month per page for that one section of the book when time passes with agony for Bella-- that was truly cool.

Not only did it make the top ten-- it's #1! Stephenie Meyer must be pleased as punch. Hey, have you been to her website yet? It's linked off the blog. If you do, be sure to check out Midnight Sun. It's the retelling of Twilight through Edward's point of view, and she's posted the first chapter. It's delicious! And all the outtakes and extra stories for all of the books are there as well, along with playlists for each of the books. I've got the Eclipse one on my iPod!

I've read three of those books--"Road of the Dead", by Kevin Brooks, who truly is quite a good writer, "Maximum Ride", and of course, "New Moon". Sarah Dessen isn't my favorite writer, and I've been wanting to read "Bad Kitty".

The actress for Bella has now been announced. (I'm sure you would see it, but I just wanted to bring it to your attention...)

Hey everchanging,
I hadn't been paying attention, so thanks for pointing out the casting to me! I just saw her in Into the Wild; although I couldn't glean much about her acting skills (fairly small role), I can see her looks as being Very Bella. She's pretty, but not overly so, thin but not atheletic-looking, and she could pull off being clutzy, I'm sure. Looks like a good choice-- I'm excited! I'll have to check out Stephenie Meyer's website now.
