The reading goal was so sad! It made me cry!
Alrighty, that's understandable....was it in all of the posts or just the Twilight ones? Those seemed to be getting pretty messy...
I think what I like best about this book is how it characterized death. It makes him seem like a compassionate being, just doing his job, even though his job is unpleasant.
On page 350, death talks about how he “picked up each soul that day as if it were newly born. I even kissed a few weary, poisoned cheeks…I watched their love visions and freed them from their fear.”
Before that passage he says he tried to warm them (the dead) even though their souls still shivered. He mentions God and then says, “I say his name in a futile attempt to understand.” According to this book, death is not evil or malicious or even scary—just a fact of life but with a heart. Okay... I didn't know where to put this, but the Time travelers wife sounds good... Heres the review I read...

Ooo, The Time Travelers Wife sounds good! I've been wanting to read that one for a while.
Actually, I've been meaning to read 'War of the Worlds' (H.G. Wells) and that might make an interesting read. :)
