Bookies! Let's Get Started!

All right, guys-- we had decided to postpone reading ANY chapters until after spring break, contrary to some of the conversations you have been having recently. :) Well, "after spring break" is here, and I am anxious to get started. Where can we read to by next Friday, you think? I am now aware that some of you are officially ahead... what if we say we'll get to chapter 9 by Friday the 10th? Will that work? In your copies, that's page 74. Let me know!
:)

I started reading it during SSR and I can definitely see what you mean by "mysterious", Nathan! It's been really good so far, but I'm only on chapter 2.....I'm pretty sure I can make it by next Friday..... :D

  5. Analie, I think (although I am not sure!) that Nathan was referring to Scat when he said it was mysterious... oh wait, are you reading Scat also? I'm confused!

    Mrs. Pulley,

Haha, oops. Well, it is kind of mysterious though....with the Radley's......but I could be wrong, I'm only on chapter 4 right now. Anyways, I was wondering if I was wrong or not, but is the main character (the narrator) a girl? I thought she was a boy at first but then I read some and now it sounds like she's kind of a girl..... hm....

Aslos, I was wondering if anyone else noticed that the bookslips have "ATMS" I guess our school name is Al Tona Middle School now! ^ ^

  7. Yes, Analie, our narrator, Scout (a.k.a. Jean Louise), is a girl-- a very sassy, tomboyish girl, but a girl nonetheless. And yes, the Boo Radley storyline IS very mysterious! It just wasn't the mystery Nathan was discussing, I don't think.

We're ATMS to give us a four-letter code; don't ask me why it has to be four letters, however. :) Heritage is HEMS, Silver Creek is SCMS, Mead Middle is MEMS, etc. Very observant of you!

    Mrs. Pulley,

Haha, I thought so! She sounded like a boy in the beginning, but by chapter 7 (8?) I was sure she was female. I caught up on my reading today and I have to say, I've enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would!

Oh, that explains it! I thought they had made a mistake, haha.

Haha, okay, I confess it, I got impatient to go on and I read ahead. I think I'm on chapter 14 right now....
